Retsu Unohana is the Captain of the 4th Division, the Division that specialises in healing the wounded.

Appearance

Captain Unohana is a women with black hair that she wears in a large braid in front, and wears standard Shinigami robes with a Captains' jacket. She always appears to have a warm expression on her face, except when faced with a serious situation.

Personality

Captain Unohana has a kind, gentle nature and is always doing what she thinks is best, and has saved lots of peoples' lives with her incredible healing abilities. Despite her warm-hearted nature, many people seem to be unusually afraid of her.

Abilities

Being the Captain of the 4th Squad, Unohana has wondrous healing abilities, and apparently is one of the most powerful Captains, despite her appearances.

Her Zanpakutō's Shikai takes the form of a giant green manta ray which has the ability to fly, and also keep injured people inside it's belly, and quickens the recovery rate of injuries.

History

Not much is known about Captain Unohana's past except that Captain Ukitake, Captain Kyoraku and herself, are the only remaining Captains from when the Gotei 13 was first founded.
