Tetsuzaemon Iba

Iba Tetsuzaemon is the Lieutenant of the 7th Division in the Gotei 13, serving under Captain Sajin Komamura.

Appearance

Iba has black hair, cut into a distinctive style, and he has a moustache as well. He wears regular Shinigami robes, and wears sunglasses over his eyes all the time. He apparently collects them as a hobby.

Personality

Iba was revealed to be somewhat of a "Mommy's boy" during the Soul Society Arc as it was revealed he became a Vice-Captain to please his mother. Despite this, Iba acts tough and doesn't show much emotion to others. Although, he has a strong bond with his Captain, Sajin Komamura, and has an ongoing rivalry with the 3rd Seat of the 11th Division, Ikkaku Madarame, they both tend to duel a lot and drink Sake.

Abilities

Iba has all the abilities of any Shinigami at Vice-Captain level, he can use kido, flash step, and his Zanpakutō has a Shikai release, although the release command or his Zanpakutō's name have not been revealed as of yet.

In it's Shikai state, Iba's Zanpakutō is a long black and silver blade, with a pick-like protrusion near the tip of the blade.

History

Iba was once a member of the 11th Division, but left to join the 7th Division because it would be easier for him to become a Vice-Captain. It was revealed later on that Iba did this to please his mother, and so the 11th Division's members tend to look down on him for that reason.
